Advices In Crafting Unique Promotional Gifts

By Brian Phillips

Promotional gifts are used by companies in promoting themselves and the products or services they have. These will help in communicating what your brand stands for and makes it more memorable for them. These are usually given during events, trade shows or even at sidewalks to market it to the people.

Common items given for those purposes are tote bags, pens and mugs with your brand name written on them. But there are those that are giving unique promotional gifts which stands out from others and impress them longer. Here are some guides in creating one for the company you have which you can hand out next time.

Create something that will not fit inside an envelope and is more at home inside boxes or packages. This would build anticipation for these people you have given it to and will be excited in opening it soon. They will have no idea on what is inside as well making a surprising element in the process.

Give them things to do when the item is received making it stick better to their memory. An example that has been done by a famous toothpaste company is when they hand out ice creams with the sticks shaped similar to a toothbrush which reminds them in brushing their teeth after they eat. These things inclining the receiver to do something is better.

Make it relevant to your business so they can connect the items to what your products or services really are. These could be things that tells a story related to your company which has an additional meaning to it. It would also show the benefits they get when they patronize your business.

Avoid crafting something with a generic or cheap look even tough the production of the items must not be expensive. Be creative in crafting a classy look in order for you to leave good impressions to the customers. There are also people who are prohibited to accept expensive items as a gift because of their company rules so crafting a cheap present is better.

Do not forget to include your brand logo in the items to remind them on who they came from. This must be placed in a prominent area but make sure that it does not destroy the aesthetic of the object. Making your logo as big as the object will make it very visible to the people but it will give them an idea that you are pushing your name too hard.

Choose an item which will last unlike flowers and food which will just wither or is required to be immediately eaten. This will help them remember you even after all the years since the time you gave it to them. Making them display it proudly in their house is a great thing or making them use it every now and then.

And lastly, make sure that the effort you put in making them will be felt by the people who are going to receive it. Having a concept that was not done before by others or only a very few companies that would have a great impact with your customers. This would be a fun activity for your team as well in allowing their creativity to be exercised.
