Details Regarding Wisdom Works Journaling Bible

By Sarah Morris

Journaling bibles have a space where art can be created to show what you understand with the scripture. This is a creative reading approach where you can visualize them using your pen while you meditate with His words. Being artistically skilled is not a requirement but only the willingness to experience God in a creative way.

It is usually better than just reading a passage and going on with your daily routine which might make you forget what you have just read. This is because doing this in a wisdom works journaling bible will make you spend some time with the passage thinking on how to draw what you have learned. It is also not important to have the best looking one but the process involved in it.

To start doing this, you must have a bible and a pen or some other art supplies that you would like to use. It is preferable to use single column books as they have large margins with faint lines ideal for writing down stuffs on the side. There are many items you could use in making your art and choose one that is familiar to use

After all the tools have been prepared then the next thing you have to do is to find a verse to start with. You can do this with one that is familiar with and means so much to you to remove the discomfort in journaling. This would make you think of an idea faster but do not choose your most favorite one as including everything it means to you in the design is difficult.

Search online for inspirations if you have none and see the things other people have done and make them as an inspiration for yours. Groups in social media, with other members from Orange County, CA, are available that are sharing ideas and works they have. These are also good places to find inspiration for your art style.

You can now begin making your first design after getting ready or you could do these things first to have a better idea on what to do. Research more about the verse to add more details to it or say your prayers asking for guidance. As long as you have the courage of using your pen to draw your design then you may now start.

Start by reading the verse many times until you are confident on how you understand it and the meaning it has for you. Determine which part has the most meaning and the best way to represent them with your art. Emphasis can be put to specific words which stand out by differentiating the way it is written compared to others.

Sketch them out with a pencil first so that when you make a mistake, it would be easy to erase and correct them. If you are not comfortable doing this directly in your bible then do this on an extra piece of paper. When finished, sketch it again in the bible and draw over with a pen after.

Fill your design with colors with whatever materials you are comfortable using like colored pencils, crayons or watercolor. Watercolor are not advisable to paint over ink as it may smudge so if you are using one then paint it first and ink it after it has dried. You may also add stickers and stamps or other things to it.
