How The Processes Of Live Auction Work

By Timothy Ross

Auction is a type of a process for selling and buying goods and services and these are being offered for a bid, bids will be taken, then after, the item is sold to a person who has the highest bid. There are many common forms of auction and the most commonly used form is the open ascending price. All the participants are going to bid openly where in the new bid must be higher than the previous one.

A person who announces the prices is called the auctioneer. Bidders may be able to call out the bids but to have a proxy may be fine. Most common items that are sold for the AZ live auction would include expensive wines, rare collectibles, paintings, and antiques. Other items include used cars, radio spectrum, livestocks, and commodities.

In this article, you will be given some important details on how the live auction will work. Some specifications on this may very depending on the types. However, this information would include the important and helpful guidelines where in all people can benefit. The three important things that need to be considered when doing auctions are the time, place, and date.

Auctions have three different types and these are the simulcast auctions, live auctions, and online only auctions. But the purpose of this article is to discuss on the process of live auctions. So the first process is the bidders should acquire the bidder card and they can get it from the cashier.

These cards have the purpose of making bids to any items. There may be cases where a cash deposit is needed which can be refundable for the dispense of card. During the start, an auctioneer announces the sales terms so the the bidders will be informed about it, and thus, making them aware about their responsibilities. If a particular bidder is ready for the bidding, that person would just raise the hand or card.

The auctioneer will acknowledge that certain bidder through nodding or calling the name. The assistant of an auctioneer called the ringman gets that item which is being auctioned so that the bidder will see it. The ringman will then mark that item along with the bidders number if sold already. If a winner of the bid is already announced, the clerk will be informed about how much is to be paid by the bidder and also the number.

This information will be recorded and the cashier will tabulate all the purchases before the items can be taken out from sale. The payment may either be through cash or check. There are the times when bidders would immediately remove the property from the location of auction after the sale.

Here the differences between online only and live auction. First, a live type will be hosted in real time by the auctioneers and the an online only type is automated only through online. For an online type, a bidding remains for several hours or sometimes several days. In the bidding, bidders can view the current which is ranked as the highest.

In this type, the bidders are going to be informed through email if they are the highest bidders or if they are being outbid by another. So in the end of the period, the item will be sold to the highest bidder. The time being set up in these online auctions may sometimes be extended.
