Many Are Choosing Artisan Soap For Their Daily Hygiene

By Pamela Gibson

There are some people that are not easy to buy presents for. The majority of gift givers, or procrastinators, may go with the gift card. Or if they really lack time or discipline, order an electronic gift card that is sent to the email of the recipient almost immediately. While these are practical gifts, and assuming some are appreciated, there are other options for the person who may be picky or may have many gift cards stacked up somewhere in their home. Artisan soap is not the decorative soap given in some box sets of generations past, it actually works and feels good on the skin.

What separates this type of soap from others is the scent. Many crafters use real ingredients to get an aroma that comes directly from nature, not a chemical that is either too strong or comes off as artificial. By using real flowers, plants, and moisturizers, a scent that is natural is also the most likely to be inoffensive to others.

Glycerin soaps are not only gentle to the skin but are most ideal for problems like acne, psoriasis, or oiliness. These also have a lower ph, which gives the texture more elasticity. Most people realize that natural softness does not have to come from expensive beauty products sold only at premium retailers.

Most people also associate certain scents with being clean, especially if it is strong or lingers hours after bathing. Even if these products are on the pricey side, this does not make them ideal for daily use. Anyone who has to follow their cleansing routine with a generous layer of lotion may find that their daily cleansing product is to blame.

However, the real benefit is how these natural soaps leave the skin feeling afterward. Detergents found in commercial hygiene products contain little to no glycerin and with the addition of more chemicals and preservatives, this can leave skin feeling dry. Skin that is extremely dry is more prone to crack and become itchy.

For those who do not care for scents but want more elasticity, these cleansers can do this without much else. Bars that have aloe vera and vitamin e are good for adding more natural collagen to the skin. The results are gradual and it will not reverse the clock but the skin has a more supple feel after several uses. While lotion or an SPF moisturizer may be recommended when going out in extreme weather conditions, unless advised by a physician, this is usually optional.

Because there are no additives, the shelf life of these cleansers is limited. However, just like the food most of us eat, anything that is enhanced with preservatives is not good to consume every day. The same theory applies to skincare and hair products.

This type of gift is very practical because everyone has to bathe, or at least wash their hands, at some point. Many of these of these are so pure that they can be used after shaving and help moisturize skin. Many people who have used these, either on their face or during bathing, have found that acne marks or scars gradually clear up.
